Evolution Time

4 months. Exactly 4 months ago today. You might be wondering what on earth I'm talking about. Let me explain. 4 months ago today was the last time I published a blog post. Why? No clue. I feel as if my passion for nail polish has evolved to something else in its own. I no longer feel the desire I once had for nail polish.
I have found a new love. Make Up. I used to be obsessed with make up right around the first naked palette came out. Then my obsession started to fizzle. That's when I found a love for nail polish. Now don't get me wrong I still enjoy painting my nails, I just needed a break from blogging.
Now I'm back! Like my passions evolved so is my blog. I plan to make it more into a beauty and lifestyle blog. I plan to do more tags and really just open it. Please bear with me through this transition stage.

A Saturday Night Experiment...

After a day of being outdoors and in the brisk fall air, my hands were hurting. The skin on my palms became tough and cracked and my cuticles looked sad. Then an idea popped in my head. First, I filled these cheap nail soakers with pure olive oil. I let my fingers soak for 15 min. When they were done soaking, I removed the soakers and slathered on some Goldbond Ultimate Healing Hand Lotion. I then put on a pair of those latex doctors gloves so the lotion/olive oil mixture really soaks in. I then proceeded to do homework, eat, do dishes, etc. That's one of the perks of this hand treatment, you can carry on with everyday tasks. After letting my hands soak for 2 hours, I took off the gloves. Boy was I surprised! My hand looked and felt better. It was like I had new skin. I hope to due this once a week through the winter I really recommend trying this. Have a great weekend!

Ikat Print Nail Art

Lately, I have seen Ikat print everything floating around Pinterest and I fell in love with it. From pillows  to dresses, Ikat is one everything. I decided to take this fantastic print and recreate it on my nails. I started with two coats of Butter London Trout Pout. I then used a light blue, black, and white striper to create the "triangles." I finished with Julep Matte Topcoat. I adore how this came out and can't wait to try different color combos!

Elegant French Tips

Todays mani was created using OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and the rhinestones I showed you the other day. I love how dainty and girly this turned. You could definitely rock this mani of many different occasions.
